What You Will Do:
- Build new features in Yelp's Android apps to connect people with great local businesses.
- Improve and iterate on existing functionality to reliably give our users and business owners a smooth experience.
- Insist on a consistent and responsive user experience for every one of our users.
- Develop tools for acquiring and processing on-device location information.
- Mentor other engineers and share the skills you’ve learned.
- Continue to learn, grow, and help us take on brand new challenges.
- Be a key part of the larger Android developer community at Yelp.
What We Are Looking For:
- At least two years of relevant Android development experience.
- Mastery of the Android platform and client/server technologies (Kotlin or Java, preferably both).
- Experience with writing, testing, releasing and maintaining mobile code.
- Strong focus on high-quality mobile UI experiences.
- Pointers to other mobile apps you've built.
